Format of the IntelliMagic zAcademy

The IntelliMagic zAcademy Series for z/OS Professionals was launched during the COVID-19 pandemic in the face of live conferences being postponed in order to offer free, online, conference-quality educational sessions to the z/OS performance community. After the initial 15 weeks of sessions, the positive feedback we received was so great that we decided IntelliMagic zAcademy was here to stay - not every week, but once a month - and still free of charge!

Every month we will host a new educational session (1-hour max.) online. After each session, we will send the recording to all who registered, including those who were unable to attend the live session.

Your datacenter under TFP: the new rules of measurement
Cheryl Watson of Watson & Walker and John Baker of IntelliMagic
Tailored Fit Pricing is no longer an abstract concept as many datacenters have adopted this new pricing model. For those that held back, recent enhancements from IBM have made TFP potentially more attractive. While TFP has the potential to greatly simplify software costs, the Capacity Planner/Performance Analysts (CP/PA) needs to adjust many of their tried and true methods for tracking – and controlling – MSU consumption. Are you paying too much? Have your measuring tools and techniques adapted to these new rules? Join Cheryl Watson and John Baker as they dive into this critical subject. They’ve been known to have an opinion or two.
